Art at Clevancy
Calligraphy and Lettering Courses at
Cliffansty
Farm, Clevancy, Calne, Wiltshire SN11 8ST
England, UK
Our general principles are
somewhat different from those involved in classical calligraphy
education courses.
Sound Hands
For beginners and improvers we think it important to learn
basic hands and to learn them thoroughly on a weekly basis
with the best tutors we know of. That is why we call our 1-day-a-week
courses Sound Hands.

New Experiences
For more experienced calligraphers we think the concept of
working on a new skill with an excellent tutor for an intense
5-day period brings a depth to the learning process not normally
available elsewhere, thus New Experiences.

Connections
For those who are developing
their own projects but who have reached a sticking point – and
don’t we all
do that – or are in need of support from a first class
tutor, we offer weekend group sessions with one or two tutors
who have enormous experience in problem solving to help lift
you out of the trough. We call these weekends Connections.
